WHAT IS READ?

PhotoScore & NotateMe Ultimate reads virtually all markings in printed music, and most in handwritten music, including (handwritten capabilities highlighted in bold) :

• 5-line staves (normal and small),  4- and 6- line guitar staves, 1-, 2- and 3-line percussion staves
• Notes, chords (including stem direction, beams & flags) and rests (including multirests) in up to 4 voices per staff
• Appoggiaturas (grace notes), cue-sized and cross-staff notes
• Accidentals and articulation marks
• Clefs, key signatures, time signatures
• Tuplets/triplets
• The format of the page, including the page size, staff size, margins, and where systems end
• Slurs, ties and hairpins
• Text including lyrics, dynamics, fingerings, instrument names, tempo and technique markings
• Guitar chord diagrams
• Various other markings such as codas, segnos, ornaments, pedal markings and repeat endings
• 64 staves per page

AFTER PHOTOSCORING

Once the music has been PhotoScored with Ultimate you can...

• Extract parts

Create scores from MP3s and CD tracks! Using the most intelligent technology available AudioScore Ultimate is able to convert up to 16 instruments / notes playing at a time into multiple staves, with up to 4 voices per staff. Send the results directly to Sibelius or save MusicXML and MIDI files for use in most other music programs such as Finale or Dorico. Alternatively, allow AudioScore Ultimate to print out a professional quality score for you.

UltraSound™

AudioScore Ultimate even allows the intricate nuances of a performance to be viewed, played and edited, such as the subtle changes in pitch, volume and timing. Alternatively, produce new versions of music using MIDI instruments - you choose which ones. AudioScore analyzes the original music in great detail so is able to play back with great realism - open one of your favorite songs and hear it performed by a brass band or string quartet!

Create musical scores by singing or playing  into your computer using only a microphone - no prior musical knowledge required! AudioScore Ultimate gives instant graphical feedback about the pitch of a performance over time, so it is possible to see exactly where mistakes are being made allowing improvement whilst performing. Train to sing and play perfectly in tune and immediately see the improvements on screen. What’s more, unless you really need it, the built-in metronome is not required.

Open MIDI files in AudioScore Ultimate to automatically create high quality printable scores. 

AudioScore Ultimate offers the novel concept of 'serving' you a set of notes already input which you can then quickly split, join, resize, and adjust the pitch of, purely on a performance level - no worrying about rests and technicalities such as the key signature, accidentals, augmentation dots, beaming, ties etc.

NotateMe

NOTATEME INTEGRATED HANDWRITTEN MUSIC ENTRY

Our NotateMe music handwriting app has been a huge success for tablets & phones, the pioneering technology being used on 100,000s of devices worldwide. By popular demand we integrated NotateMe into PhotoScore, which means the composer in you can now handwrite scores on your Windows or Mac OS X tablet/laptop! 

It is especially optimized to work with Microsoft Surface, but also works with other stylus devices or a mouse/trackpad. Once you have completed writing a score, you tap a button to automatically convert it into a fully formatted score which can then be played back, exported to Sibelius, saved as MusicXML, PDF and so on, just like any scanned score! It is even possible to convert scanned pages and PDFs to handwritten scores, to make them editable in this way.
